Our Accredited Residential Installer Certification Program

Expert training is the key to ensuring a professional and quality garage door installation or service. We don’t believe in cutting corners when it comes to training our employees. At PDQ, our training and certification programs are unmatched in the Greater Cincinnati area. We are the only garage door company to require every technician to pass a course to become a certified residential installer.

IDEA Program Details

Our certification program* is offered by the Institute of Door Dealer Education and Accreditation (IDEA) and represents a third-party validation of your professional status. To become an IDEA-certified residential installer you must:

Pass a written exam
Demonstrate you are trained to all PDQ Doors standards for garage doors and openers
Have work evaluated and verified in the field by a PDQ Doors certified trainer
Receive a sign-off on your certification by a PDQ Doors certified trainer

*Note: To be eligible for certification, you must have a minimum of two years of garage door experience.
